Talk politics.

Yeah... not a political option in NH. Most of our legislators take a pledge relating to the institution of *any* sales or income tax. NH voters have emphatically stated a preference for stable, low taxes and cut services over stable services and increased taxes. Oh, and they did raise revenues in the ways permitted by the voters, increasing several taxes and creating a few new ones. We still have one of the lowest tax burdens in the state. Nobody was really complaining about lost services, because we know how it works here - we're not California. The unions stood in the way of this decision.
