I'm not impoverished, I'm poor, there's a difference - my basic needs are met, with some luxuries. This was significantly less the case when I was a kid, but I've (thankfully) found myself in better circumstances now. I have a three or four year old iPod Classic 80GB MP3 player that I bought with the money I earned at a job I had during the summer break from college a few years back. :3

I had a walkman, too, seriously. And the old, clunky CD players. ..okay, more than one of the old, clunky CD players, because other kids in high school kept stealing mine. xD bastards!
