It's about two and a half miles, according to Google Maps. :) It doesn't seem that far, but given that not many people here (New York City) drive, you either have to shell out for a cab or a car to take you (which is expensive, $10+ each way), or take the bus or subway, both of which take longer, so what in a more rural area would be a half hour's excursion becomes a two hour long trip, at the least. If I had a job (I'm a student), I probably wouldn't have the time to go there as much as I do, which would mean a lot less fresh veggies and fruits, cos they'd go bad. As it is, it's a pity I can only make it once a week normally... twice if I forget something I can't get in the smaller, more local places.

...and this post just totally reminded me that I clean forgot to get the potatoes when I went grocery shopping the other day! Augh. I'd better get those before Thanksgiving, or my best friend is going to hurt me. XD

(Amusing: the song "The Economy of Mercy" by Switchfoot came on my iPod's shuffle as I typed this. :P)
