Two years ago, I worked at Rockefeller Plaza, and on the day before Christmas Eve, I had to catch a plane out of JFK. But what struck me was how oddly warm it was: right by the Christmas tree in the center of the plaza, which is a must see if you are ever in New York, people were in shorts and tank tops. The temps that afternoon were near 70. Natives who have lived here have told me that it was unknown to have seen this even 20 years ago.
