Jason Levin, the guy who came up with the "Crash the Tea Party" concept is now unemployed. The AP is reporting that he resigned before the Beaverton School District had a chance to keep him or fire him because of their investigation already in process. In April, he was put on administrative leave after school officials were contacted by various sources concerning the fact that Levin posted to the forums on CrashTheTeaParty.org (now defunct) during school hours (and may have also used school computers to do so). The state of Oregon Teacher Standards and Practice Commission is still considering their own investigation against him. [Source]

"Levin has said he would seek to embarrass Tea Partiers by attending their rallies dressed as Adolf Hitler, carrying signs bearing racist, sexist and anti-gay epithets and acting as offensively as possible -- anything short of throwing punches." [Source]

Just goes to show there is a right way and a wrong way to attempt to bring about political change.

On a related note, I'll be appearing on Olbermann's Countdown next week as somebody literate and informed.

I'm certain that'll just embarass Keith to no end.

It's not difficult to "appear" literate and informed. :-)

Some people out there appear to find it extraordinarily so.

It is when you're talking about Countdown.

And yet just about everybody I've ever seen appearing on that show seems to manage it just fine.

All you need is a blackboard and your own TV show.

Why do I get the distinct impression that for all their bluster, most of these people would run like preschoolers if they ever actually got shot at?

And the wrong way is to use work time and resources to run your own personal website, apparently. Shocking!

He can still use his Hitler costume... maybe join a WWII reenactment group.

This just goes to show that annoying the Tea Party is a crime and the Tea Party annoying millions of people is the future.

Following the tea party from the inside, as I do, it would have been fantastically funny to see a WWII reenactment fascist group on a big gathering there, among all the paraphernalia smearing Obama and presenting Reagan with a halo.

On several lists, yes. I also go to meetings and take pictures, but I never say a word outside of "thank you" or such trivia. Nothing wrong with being an observer form the inside without actually sympathizing with it.

Pussies. They can't take political heat, they should get out of the kitchen. Politics is an ugly business. If one can't say, spend four years governing the boondocks of the United States (aka Alaska) and has to quit halfway in, well......

If the 'Baggers can't handle a little ridicule they've no business in politics.

oh but they are handling it. Haven't you noticed how anyone annoying the Tea Party too much ends up without a job?

That's not handling it, that's flexing the muscles of a bunch of old white people. If half the rhetoric these obese whiners applied to the President were applied to them they'd be crying and moaning to epic degrees. For that matter their loudest champion's a corrupt woman who quit halfway through her term but she was somehow a good governor. =.= Suffice to say I've no respect at all for these people.

Wait, this is criminal?
Does it constitute slander (representing yourself as a member of the organization and then attempting to discredit them)? Or is this just an issue of the fact that he was doing this on the clock at work?

"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
