And my dime.
3/8/10 18:43"WEEKLY TOPIC: Morality, Ethics, Religion & the Family"
Morality is a lot of crap. You can't be serious with the issues of morality today with invading other countries and bombing other folks 'into the stone age' just because they didn't piss when you say 'Booooo!'
Ethics is a lot of even bigger crap. One individual has one ethics, his partner - another one, the corporate they work for, their boss, priest, congressman, tabloid editor, school teacher, etc. all have ethics. Too bad it's all different, or they all read it differently, which doesn't help either.
Religion. A lot of different craps, to say very little. Since the very first Crussade people were killing for the God's name and the names were all different. They, gods, might be enjoying the show that long.
Family. Well, family too has issues with morality, religion and ethics. The only thing left, alive and kicking, but began to crack too. Still, people can reproduce, leaving the formal family issues aside - thus you have gay families and lesbians families, the next you have mixed families of the football team size, or communes (Karl Marx rulez), then you'll get marrying your pets or tangible objects, like computer, dishwasher or fridge full of "Bud".
I actually right now already love my dog and my sweet home more than your wife. Or yours, fatmouth. Fortunatently, artificial fertilization along with cloning techniques and japanese sex robots are not going to help the human race dissapear, we are safe at this side.
So you my say I'm pretty optimistic, oh yes, sirreee.
Next, please.
P.T.O.
Just being facetious, you know.

Date: 3/8/10 17:25 (UTC)Man considers himself a marvel of the Universe yet at one go a minor sea change caused by a slight shift in the seafloor kills 400,000 humans and his might is nothing to the Gamma Ray Burst and to the supervolcanoes of which it is not a matter of if but when. We consider questions in terms of morality in a world where might has made right, a grim carnival of blood since the first stromatolites formed from the corpses of microbes.
But, hey, when you're chewing on life's gristle, don't give a whistle....instead...
Gonna do it next week, buddy.
