So in short the Great Game all over again? Yay. >.> Armenia being Russia's friend is no real surprise, they benefited from both the Tsarist and Soviet systems. Georgia *not* being Russia's friend is also no surprise due to a lot of issues between the two societies. I find it interesting that Azerbaijan is siding with the Turks here. Erdogan seems to me to be focused more on Southwest Asia than the Caucasus. So perhaps I misjudged that.

But on the whole the small countries are going to be fucked over massively as always, it seems. >.> What does Putin think would happen if Russia were to start re-annexing old SSRs again? Running that overtaxed Russia's abilities twice, does he expect the third time will be the charm?
