I agree completely. But maybe the parts of brain that make some people fervently and fanatically throw themselves into a religion can also be stimulated by other ideologies like Communism, Hegelism, Captialism, or that weird Insane Clown Posse fan cult. The people who follow these ideologies fanatically aren't following a religion, but their brains may function just like they are.
