well, you do - but lets tackle global poverty first. it is kind of important, as it affects more people around the world than say, house prices in the South of England.
The thing about World Poverty is that it has multiple causes and therfore needs severaal strategies at once to eliminate it. The feedback so far is that I am having some conversations I had 30 yrs back, because , believe it or not, some people are still 30 yrs behind the loop on it. Like, the earth is not overpopulated, and food growing enough food is not the complete answer. howeve, others are saying this for me, and pointing out that it isn't just kids who need saving from famines - we need to organise jobs for adults and economic developement for whole communities. so, that is where we are going next.
Some advantages that developing nations have is that they can have the support of the UN , and NGOs that were not there when the UK broke out of endemic poverty. They can also go straight for eco freindly power, whereas we did not. let's walk through what needs doing to bring every nation up to Uk standards, then we shall talk about the relevant issues in UK terms. the Green manifesto does include policies on housing, defence, schools, healthcare, pensions, etc. Most of which are more appropriate to uk_politics, but not here. Maybe other people could post about US centric issues on another forum, as Rush Limbourg, and other US figures prominent in the USA are virtually unknown this side of the pond.
