Problem is that as I said to Johnny9Fingers, the US's imperial interests lie more in a weak UN while it is the hyperpower, as that provides more room to maneuver from several ends. The United States is not capable of unitary action anymore, but it's still got the stick even if it's not capable of providing a carrot....
