While these items may serve to pacify the poor, what we need to watch out for is where this economy is heading. These studies are from three years ago or more, none reflecting our current economic climate. And let's say we go through an outright economic collapse while the golden parachute crowd keeps living it up, what do you suppose will happen then? All the microwave ovens in the world won't matter.
Class warfare has already been declared, and won, by the wealthy. But they will suffer tremendous consequences if they think they can keep bleeding the poor with impunity.
