Retribution is "pay back" it's returning the pain inflicted to the one who inflicted it. People do it all the time, but it isn't right.
Vengeance belongs only to God. Though some people try to take it anyway. Vengeance may not mean "pay back" it's whatever is fitting in the eyes of God. It might not be what we expect... we will not know what happens most likely. I don't think we should worry about it. It's for God to decide.
