Biden's political standing fuels Democratic worry about 2024

I wasn't expecting a piece like this, quite so soon. This reflects my overall thoughts but to see the AP spelling this out so early in the Biden term, surprises me. I think the Dem race for 2024 will be the far more eventful one of that year. Such an odd predicament for a party with an incumbent in his first term. While it's true, Biden's age is old, his "historic" VP pick is young.

The GOP race, for now at least, looks to come down to Trump's decision to run or not. I think it rather likely the candidate will be either Trump or DeSantis. If Trump runs, I also think it quite possible it will be a Trump/DeSantis ticket.

It's very unusual to have the side opposing an incumbent serving their first term, as the side which is the easier one to foresee or predict the election scenario.

DeSantis as a VP for Trump depends very much on Trump's ego in the moment.

Oh please don't run again, Donald! I'd much prefer Kamala to run for President if Joe cannot do it again for whatever reason. As far as VP under Kamala, I'm not sure. I think we've some good options out there though. But then again, is this country really ready for a female President? I think not.

I'd much rather the US be finally ready for a female president than succumb to several of the alternatives...including the damned Former Guy. And I think I'd particularly prefer a cross-border partnership between Chrystia Freeland in Canada and Kamala Harris in the States, sooner than later. One of Putin's worse-for-him nightmares, that will be!

DAILY QUOTE:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
