Americans say they hate the economy but act like they love it

It seems that US consumers are making inflation a self-fulfilled prophecy. As long as they are buying like mad and supplies are low, prices will go up. It is how economics works. The US is a nation of instant gratification but the good news is they have a healthy economy that is capable of supplying what they need.

It's funny though that people are focusing on gasoline prices, their volatility really has little to do with inflation and they have gone up many times before only to settle down again. Gas prices also have been quite low during the pandemic and it is logical that they would increase.

'Things seem bad because they're actually really good' is an incredibly hard idea to sell.

Even a wordsmith like Obama would get a lot of head tilts trying - how is Biden going to pull it off (he gets head tilts talking about much simpler things)? Outside of devout msnbc viewers - who is going to buy it?

DAILY QUOTE:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
