Do not make false idols... ohwait.

Golden Trump statue turns heads at CPAC

Behold! The golden calf!

After Jan. 6th, many republicans ran for cover, only to find out, weeks later, that many people were still lining up to buy the bottled sugar water that trump was selling. Those stunned republicans, after stifling their collective laughter, shrugged their shoulders and decided that they might be able to ride the crazy train all the way to the 2022 mid term elections. Oh, and possibly beyond:

Mitch McConnell says he'd 'absolutely' support Trump as 2024 nominee

Wow. Mitch is a... very special kind of person. No matter which side you affiliate with, you gotta admit he plays both. Indeed, every politician at that level has to be a supremely focused narcissist if not downright megalomaniac. And I don't mean that in a positive or negative way, just that if he wasn't the way he was, he wouldn't be the extremely effective and repeatedly re-elected politician that history shows him to be. If half the people in the US don't hate you when you're operating at the national level, you either aren't doing something right, or you are playing the wallflower and only coming out for votes and/or when your party whip pushes you.

But back to Donnie the Golden Boy and his Golden Shower of Gold (ugh, that did sound kinda wrong, didn't it). The GOP still doesn't get it. They lost all three: Senate, Congress and White House because of Trump, and here they are bowing down to him, while he's stealing all their donation money for himself.

GOP house members like Matt Gaetz claimed that the health crisis caused by the virus is why they're not in DC voting on the pandemic bill which would help their country get out of the health crisis which was made infinitely worse by Trump's failed leadership. But they're actually all down at this conference in Florida, we can see them there. So lying to people's faces about why they're not doing their job which would help all regular Americans and instead are bending the knee to the man who just led an armed insurrection against his own country - while he was still in power.

And Ted Cruz is making jokes about the weather in Texas, his home state, where a young boy just froze to death because of the failure of the Texas GOP to regulate energy properly.

Right now across that shithole of a country people are leaving the GOP and posting pictures of their new voter registration cards online because they're sick of these people's behavior - and the GOP band is playing on while their Titanic sinks after hitting the Trump iceberg.

Other than that... LOL just realized, that statue looks WAY more like Alec Baldwin SNL Trump than actual Trump. Alec Baldwin for POTUS!

Hard to tell what's in someone's heart - but if I had to guess, he hates Trump - as a person.

On the other hand, one term Trump got Mitch 2 1/2 terms worth of a judicial appointments - so it is possible for him to not like trump, but also appreciate what he knows would not have been possible without Trump.

And/or he just doesn't want to get primaried. That takes away money he could use defending his seat against a Democrat, and that takes away money from the friends of mitch superpac or whatever front cleans it before it can go straight into his bank account.
