Fake News wasn't fake enough apparently. What kind of state media disrespects the dear leader like that by reporting on election results? I think Trump was expecting one of those dictator type elections where he wins 100% of the vote.

Scoop: Trump eyes digital media empire to take on Fox News

"He plans to wreck Fox. No doubt about it," said a source with detailed knowledge of Trump's intentions.

I suspect Trump's gravely underestimating how much commercial TV stations cost to run. Even a larger newspaper can run up costs in the billions. TV a magnitude more so.

Which is fine for someone like Murdoch who's a billionaire in the 20b+ range (officially around 17b, but his willingness to fund so many unprofitable far-right newspapers tells me he's got more cash available than he lets on (no doubt for tax avoidance).

On the other hand, Trump, by some accounts, may well be on the road to bankruptcy.

In any case, looking forward to seeing how sad and pathetic Trump TV becomes. I'm willing to start a pool on how long it would last. Two years? Anyone for less than two years?

There has been speculation on whether Trump is prepared to split the Republican Party to secure a 2024 nomination. This is part of that game plan.

It will split the Republican Party, but it won't work for him. He has built a core support base, which probably are up to 30-35 million or so voters.

I quite honestly don't think he's going to get far enough to start it to begin with unless he takes over Newsmax (and then he has to cough up the money for that and good luck on that happening). If he's broke then he can't spend millions of dollars to get a station that will demand that much.

Based on the past four years, I'd expect he will promise a new network to compete against Fox and he'll deliver a few million "investment" in QAnon that ends up going to one of his own companies.

Pretty much... excepting to add he will try to get other investors (and as many of his supporters he can convince it's a good thing) to pay for it.

DAILY QUOTE:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
