After all the hullabaloo about how hating Jews is bad (meanwhile hating the other Semitic-inspired religious group, Muslims, is a pan-Atlantic pasttime even when the elements of that ideology and how it expresses itself converge not just with anti-Jewish tropes but, via Islamo-fascism with the Judaeo-Bolshevik brand of horseshit), Jeremy Corbyn was given a perfect case for two basic political approaches that would have seen nothing much happen to him. One was to say 'Yes, anti-Semitism is bad, I made mistakes with it, I recognize my failing and I will correct it.' Then he probably does nothing but rhetoric is all you have to do with that kind of thing, politically.
The other was to do nothing and wait for the British press to remember Meghan Markle exists or have BoJo the Clown get up on TV and talk about how they'll all float t-oh wait, wrong clown. Anyway, that would have kept him in his position in the Labour Party.

Instead, after a report that openly said he incited and encouraged and minimized the problem, he proceeds to go and minimize the problem and suddenly he's out of a job.

And now, after all of this, his supporters have gone from 'TORY LIES AND PROPAGANDA!" to 'ONLY LIBERALS SAY HATING JEWS IS BAD! PURGE THE ROOTLESS COSMOPOLITANS!"

And did do within the entire span of time since Corbyn dug his own grave with a fleet of steamshoves paid for on his dime, to boot.

On top of this, 67% of his supporters have at least one anti-Semitic belief and it's probably higher than that, amplifying the reasons why they don't see that 'hating Jews is bad, only liberals say that' is not the optics they need to do right now.

It's somewhat harder for the US equivalent, the Sanders movement, to openly go this far when their favorite post-office namer par excellence is a proud and loud Jew, albeit one who probably enjoys bacon and oysters on Saturday. But it is not surprising that a party and a movement of old-school Marxism would say so. Marx, a proud Lutheran, said that 'What is the God of the Jews? Money. What is his religion? Hucksterism.' The USSR revived Tsarist anti-Jewish hatred as targeting the Rootless Cosmopolitan as a culture that could not into true proletarian status, and of course claiming Zionist and Nazi are synonyms with a straight face.

There is absolutely nothing in Marxism that prohibits the self-appointed prophets of the working class from deciding to go take a bludgeon and target Jews the way the fascists do if they decide this is ideologically convenient for them.

And someone who deliberately cultivates a Cold War atavism right out of the 1950s Left will have far more problem with it than not, and be incapable of admitting that saying "Jews are bad, mmkay" is a poor way to do politics on any side of the spectrum.

And thus, Jeremy Corbyn proved as everyone rational suspected to be the greatest enemy of....Jeremy Corbyn.

It's a pretty twisted situation. Corbyn was the inheritor of a strand of pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli political thought that wasn't actually antisemitic; just emphatically anti greater-Israel. But this position in itself attracted folk who were antisemitic, whom Corbyn then defended. Continuously.

Of course the present situation means that criticism of Israel is no longer acceptable; which is unfortunate given the way Israel has behaved.

Corbyn is a bit of an idiot, as well as being a complete security concern/nightmare. But he's not as compromised as Cummings and BoJo's Tories; who have filled government positions with Kremlin-compromised folk, and awarded uncontested overpriced government contracts to all their chums, using the plague as both excuse and smokescreen.

Knowing now what I do about Corbyn and Bojo, I'd still have voted for Corbyn as being the lesser of two evils. That's how bad the alternative has been.

"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
