Intelligence on Russian bounty plot was included in the President's Daily Brief earlier this year, source says

Oh damn. Yet another day, and another bag of stinky shit hitting the fan.

Someone is lying along this whole line of liars, and I'm betting it wasn't the Pentagon, or the intelligence community. Someone's been trying to save face as their political world is falling apart around them, and I'm betting it isn't comrade Putin, either.

Because there aren't many options on this story: either the intel services weren't paying attention to all the warnings from soldiers and commandos on the ground (highly unlikely), or someone hasn't been paying attention to their daily briefings, and was too busy tweeting bullshit on the Internets, and watching Fox & Friends.

I just pity folks like Kayleigh McEnany, the POTUS speaker, who have had to spew lies and spin on a daily basis. I wonder how do they sleep at night?

Nancy Pelosi might have a point here. We don't know what sort of leverage comrade Putin has on Donnie-boy, but it can't be good.

Really. People are just waking up to this now?

I had folk taking the piss out of me when I was shouting this before the Don was elected. Then we had the "Uncle Vlad was guilty of everything memes" - from the Fire of London to the Dinosaur-killing asteroid - as the perfect distraction and deflection.

But it's never Uncle Vlad. Excepting when it is, obvs. And both Brexit and 45 are down to Vlad and his helpers in the West like Nigel Farage, Steve Bannon etc. In fact I seem to recall that over the years we have mentioned (quite a lot really) that the present situation looks straight out of Aleksandr Dugin's playbook; which no doubt Uncle Vlad has on his bedside table like the Don has Mein Kampf.

In the UK and the US about half the population can work out what is going on.

On this comm, it was bit more; but not that much. We shouldn't congratulate ourselves. We have been the inadvertent vehicle and victims of Uncle Vlad's propaganda too.

Credit where it's due; he's played a blinder.

Who can it be now? *hums*

_

More seriously, I wasn't even surprised when I started seeing this in the news. Disgusted, yes, surprised, no.

"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
