Another member of the Trump administration has left the White House as John Bolton will no longer serve as national security adviser. Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, President Trump said he asked for Bolton's resignation, citing disagreements the two had on foreign policy.

"Only in the bizarre Trump orbit could the exit of a national security adviser seen as an ideologue and aggressive hawk also be perceived in some ways as the removal of a stabilizing force. But he did have a view of American interests and the use of US power that while hardline was predictable and logical and positioned within the historic boundaries of US diplomacy."

Can't say I'll be missing the guy, stabilizing factor within an otherwise pretty chaotic administration or not. It's kind of comforting to know that Warmonger #1 will no longer be anywhere near a position of power, from where he could persuade the US to get into another useless conflict.

Out of all of America's rivals, it's Kim's North Korea who should probably rejoice the most. Putin must be rubbing his hands with delight too, I'm sure.

That said, Bolton is a result of all the ineptitude and corruption that DC is known for. Bottom line: There aren't very many good candidates for Trump to choose from, especially given his preferred mode of conduct at the international stage. On a side note, wouldn't it be kind of curious to observe the neocon Bolton suddenly become the left's favorite person this week? If only for a little while.

Correcting the content. I'd assumed the usage of "Rains of Castamere", in clear error, on the other end of that link.

That said...yep, we're done with this monster. For now.

Until the next of the prophesied Trump dynasty appoints him again.

May Brad Parscale's "prophecy" turn to ashes in his mouth.

He shouldn't have hired Bolton in the first place.

Bolton did his best to start a war, any war. Fortunately, it didn't work for him. Trump is just too much of a pussy - thankfully. And, while Bolton's attempts to suffocate Iran and Venezuela may've failed, his contempt for international institutions and norms of diplomacy may have long-lasting consequences.

DAILY QUOTE:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
