What traditionally liberal-progressive issues do you feel are getting shorted in the Democratic primary? What would you like to hear more of?

For me: I'm surprised civil liberties and police reform is getting as much air as they are. I'd prefer it as a central plank, but if wishes were dollars and all that...

Also, I'd really have to say science funding. Flip that MAGA script. America is the country that put people on the Moon, ffs. Now other nations are building the big science machines and taking the lead. Promise to make the US #1 in science and engineering again. Isn't that part of making it great again overall?

Aside from all that, I think LGBT civil rights have taken a hard hit in this administration. At this point I'd be content to just get back to where the US was when Obama left office. There have been 119 direct legal actions by the Trump administration against LGBT people with most aimed at transgender people. It's disheartening. And worse, it doesn't seem that most "liberals" care at all.

I mean, I'm getting rather sick of people who are ostensibly Democrats or Democratic voters trying to play both-sideism, as though fighting for civil rights and acknowledging people's struggles exist is at all equivalent to blunt bigotry.

Less important but drives me crazy too: why can't the US finally and fully convert to the metric system... like every other country on Earth? It's not like folks couldn't even be a little incremental about it with dual labeling and signs, and all that. But it's not like people don't know what liters are, as a big example.

Other suggestions?

Big Tech getting too big will affect everyone, if there is an attempt to slow it down it will probably come from the left (there are a few conservatives on board, but not enough).

Most of the candidates - maybe all except Warren - have danced around addressing it though.

As for the metric system - I don't mind converting, or keeping both - I would rather we all come together on the month/day/year vs. day/month/year thing.

DAILY QUOTE:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
