Boycott WHPC? Hmmm...
21/11/18 16:34The entire White House press corps should walk out and stop indulging this bully
Sounds like an interesting proposal. Maybe the talent in that room should be out pursuing real news and talking to people who might answer questions more or less truthfully. The only story coming out of the WHPC now is that he lied again. We knew that, it's not news.
The freedom of the press won't die if there was no White House Press Corps.
Problem is, the press actually LOVES Trump. And there lies the issue. More precisely, doesn't love TRUMP, they love to have a ceaseless source of material: scandals, sensations, troll-tweets, outright lies, you name it. They bask in all this. Let's face it, they're loving it, although they might occasionally pretend to be offended by him.
Conversely, they could stay. But they could be a tad more assertive. What they should do... is when the Buffoon doesn't want to answer a question, the next reporter should ask the same question, until he answers it. Or until he throws his hands in the air and shuts down the press conference. Let him embarrass himself. But don't be complicit in that. Don't be obedient puppies. You're neither Free, nor a Press any more if you just let it all slide.
