Another month has rolled off, and it's time to see what's the new topic that you guys chose last time! Aaaand, teh winrar is...

Climate Change

Ya know, teach the controversy! :)

Some details, in case we need any:

- Climate change: human involvement or not? The scientific consensus.
- Physical evidence and effects of climate change.
- The runaway greenhouse effect: examples from the history of the Solar system.
- The downside of technological advancement and social progress.
- Charts, maps and graphs about climate change.
- Big oil and big economic interest against climate change policy.
- Controversial science: climate denialism.
- Cold fusion, wireless electricity, and other purported alternative energy sources.
- Speculative future scenarios for Earth.

And here's the poll for October!

What should be the next monthly topic?

1) Nationalism And Multiculturalism
2) The Grand Chessboard
3) The Fake News Era
4) The War On Drugs
5) Politics In Comedy

1 and 5. Btw, we here in Chicago have certainly had our fair share of weather changes during the last few days and I think it's going to continue into next week. But then again we frequently experience fluctuating weather even in a single day. But thus far my iPhone has only gone off once that I know of with one of those severe weather alerts. Scared the crap outa me and one of my tutors.

These are weather changes, which are not the same as climate change. =)

I'm content with all of the topics and would happily vote for any of them.

The same cannot be said of politicians. :)

Post-Truth Politics Revisited

Dailyquote:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
