There has been this acceptance that of course the GOP will take back the House based on the party in power losing seats yada yada. I don’t think that’s gonna carry this time out.

What is it the GOP is going to argue come midterms? They got covid right? They got Trump right? And speaking of the guy Republicans suddenly don’t want to talk about: he’s going to be a gigantic presence, reminding everyone of what you guys just flushed down the toilet a few months ago. Think about all those Trump candidates that will have to bow and scrape and answer for all of his now even more dementia-filled comments. What will the GOP messaging be to counter Trump’s embrace of the Jan 6 terrorists?

I dunno what’s gonna happen in the midterms. No one does. But this idea that the GOP has it on lock just cause... bwahahah good luck with that.

My take? They'll run the usual game: blame Democrats for whatever bad stuff they did while claiming credit for whatever good stuff Democrats did. Mix it with robust voter suppression while hoping for some more friendly foreign interference. Et voila! But will it work well enough this time around?

DAILY QUOTE:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
