Don't Panic!, The Metro magazine reacted to Boris Johnson becoming UK's prime minister. You may've caught the Hitchhiker's reference. The Independent made another popular reference after the event, Welcome to Brexit's Darkest hour (you know, Churchill, a personal idol for Johnson himself).
BoJo assures the public that "It's the darkest just before dawn", and he's saying he's The Dude to do the job. He has dubbed his plan DUDE, vowing to deliver Brexit, unify the country, defeat Corbyn and energise Britain. That's his plan of getting back the electorate that the Tories lost to Farage's extremists (while Labour lost theirs to the Liberal Democrats.
Quite a promise indeed, especially given the shitload of problems hanging over his head: a divided party, a resurgent Scottish independence movement, an economy at the brink of recession, a deteriorating situation with Iran... and the exodus of economic investments from the country with the impending no-deal Brexit. What little specific proposals we're seeing from BoJo, are not promising a smooth way out of the crisis, that's for sure.

Symbolic: BoJo, seen here descending into greatness
( A few scenarios )
