Their reasoning? Time for the Democrats to take steps towards impeachment, and take a stand, they say. Wouldn't matter if the Senate rejects it. The majority of Americans "think" Trump is guilty anyway. Stirring up the 30% of America that still supports him won't mean a damn thing when McConnell rejects it and stirs up over half the country who's done with the blantant corruption of the Trump administration. So let the GOP bury themselves with him. Come the blue wave!
Cool story bro. Except, it doesn't work that way.
This would cause a red wave like we have never seen. There is not going to be a blue wave. Biden is the chosen one. It's going to be hard enough to win with him as the nominee. Then you have Trump going around legitimately saying not guilty. I don't see it playing out like these guys do.
Let's face it. This ship has sailed. Better focus on convincing people to support your platform and your proposals for meaningful policies (in case you have any). Do you have any? That's the question. Because if "IMPEACH!!!1!1" is all you've got, you're not too different from the "LOCK HER UP!!!1!1" crowd.
Oh and by the way, the day justice starts being served on a "the majority of people THINK he is guilty" basis, would be the day democracy died.
