Talk politics.

It's not a long-term commitment. I've had such short- to mid-term commitments in places like Brazil as well, at a time when I was being warned against it (it turned out just fine). Thing is, Turkey is in dire need of foreign investment right now; and I'm willing to provide some. That's all that matters to both sides, business-wise. Besides, I've already got some good links over there, and I've been watching the real estate market for quite some time (Belek/Kemer area primarily). Plus, I ain't American, so I won't be boycotted. ;)
