A review of the new movie Arrival (warning: contains spoilers).

The RottenTomatoes consensus reads: Arrival delivers a must-see experience for fans of thinking person's sci-fi that anchors its heady themes with genuinely affecting emotion and a terrific performance from Amy Adams.

Indeed I have to admit, I was impressed.

It does remind of Interstellar in a way, although it's not as good. I liked Interstellar a lot, and this one wasn't bad either. Many people prefer superficial action, though. The less intellectually challenging, the better. One guy literally said "My head is hurting me" after I walked out of the cinema for Arrival. I smirked.

"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
