talkpoliticsWant to build a corporate image? To send the right message to society? To be recognized through a single symbol? If you do, you usually do what - hire a designer to create a memorable logo, right?
Well, these organizations obviously wanted the same. But, my God, please do not shoot the designer! Apparently they're doing their best!
Examples...
The Institute of Oriental Sciences at the Santa Catherina University
It was supposed to be a pagoda and a rising sun, dammit!
I wonder how many parents have brought their kids to the Arlington Pediatric Center. Seems like a fun place.
On the other hand, I bet a huge number of youngsters have subscribed for the junior jazz dance classes.
A youth committee at the catholic church? Quite a novel way of introducing the youth to God's word.
I guess nobody at the Office of Government Commerce considered the cost of 14,000 pounds too steep for making this corporate logo.
...Until they made some presentation and decided to turn the logo sideways. A bit embarrassing for a government organization...
The owner of a Megaflicks video store in a small US town figured too late that font matters too.
Not sure if the customers of this satellite TV in Poland are happy or just horny. The mascot does look quite pleased, though, so that's at least something.
Sure, that's not a classical logo. But aiming for a mirror optical effect in this swimsuit ad somehow rather brings associations about mud baths or the like.
