"Random" and "Bored" are Just New Code Words For Black on White Hate Crimes

They were bored.

It was random.

No conclusions can be drawn from any of this, right?

Sorry, wrong. A gang of black kids go after a white guy and we’re supposed to believe that the victim’s whiteness didn’t factor into the equation at all? An elderly white man is brutalized and left for dead by a couple of black men and we’re being asked to believe that such vicious hate and violence was visited upon him merely by chance? A black kid brags about knocking out white people, then goes out and shoots a white man in the back, and we’re expected to believe that he wasn’t targeted for being a member of the exact race that the murderer just publicly admitted to targeting for violence? And yet a half-white guy shoots a black teen who tackled and pummeled him, and THAT was entirely motivated by racism? Oprah makes up a story about poor customer service at a swanky purse shop in Switzerland and the media runs with the “racism” headline without hesitation, meanwhile a black guy can post online that he “hates white people” right before killing a white person, and the “R” Word is never mentioned?

Lord help us. We have descended into unadulterated lunacy.

I think this is exactly right on. He says the point quite well and I don't have much to add to it. In the big effort to "fight racism", the big anti-racist power brokers are just helping perpetuate more racism and divisiveness, and this is some of the results, not by accident, but as a logical and direct outcome. If you are really against violence and racism in our society, you would advocate fighting against the three primary factors causing the large recent upswing in it:
1) A complete lack of parental guidance. 2) The evil and destructive “gangsta” culture perpetuated by rappers and other so-called “leaders” in the black community. 3) Hatred and racial animosity planted into the public conscience by certain very bad and very influential men and women.

1. It is going to take a generation. Maybe two. The healing of the family unit will begin when the war on some drugs is over. It seems a bit of winding down from draconian to outrageous, so I'd give it 30 years. Once you stop splitting up fathers and mothers from their children, the community thrives.

2. With dubstep - edm. The only current pervasive music culture that worships that which abhors others in its embracement of crime as a lifestyle is hip hop. Currently that genre is running its course because even teens are emulating people who only exist as an image on a screen or stage. Currently at my EDM club, over 50% of the crowd is of the hip-hop nation. We play no hip hop. That culture is bored with the violence and ridiculous poser peers. Peace. Love. Understanding. Respect. It is the new mantra, replacing THUG TILL I DIE! There is hope, fizzy, most 'normal citizens' like you are a bit behind the times. It's getting better. Not today, not for the dead, but it is getting better.

3. Fizzy, if we could name and prove every allegation, these people would already be in prison or swinging from the gallows. But we can't because they are 'too big to fail'. But we can cripple them by by voting out of office their political toadies. It is a start. If there is no 'certain bad people', then the act of purging the status quo should get things on their way on it's own, agreed?

This is tough to talk about. It is tied up with identity and self-expression, and the idea that one group shouldn't tell another group how to define their culture, determine what's acceptable, etc. And yet that "'gangsta' culture" as you put it does feed into a negative stereotype, which is reinforced by occasional news stories that provide examples. I wouldn't be surprised if, to some people, they think they need to choose between being racist and safe, versus being not racist and not safe.

Edited to add: Man, some of the comments at that source are despicable.

Instead of turning back comments with rhetorical questions, why don't you offer some solutions?

Trends like you notice are the result of balance. When you have one point of view presented heavily (the evilz known as Deen and Zimmerman), others will compensate with "yeah OK but what about THIS?"

It's actually sad/funny to watch people here flop positions from prior declared absolutes in order to preserve their cognitive dissonance. Most of them simply will not comment.
