It has come to the attention of the Neo-Orc League in these, the days of Eldarion King of Gondor, that the War of the Ring, so-called, was nothing but an inside job aimed at an illegal coup against the line of Stewards to usurp the rightful order of Gondor. We have proof of this from not only the College of One Drunk One-Eyed Man At the Pub, but from the clearly altered stories of the so-called 'rightful' dynasty. There were no Orcs leading a giant battering ram at the gates of Minas Tirith, it was all the phantoms of that strange wizard Mithrandir and his scheming. Mithrandir, or as we calls 'em, Odin, was a fickle scheming no-goodnik who had no respect for the freedom of choice regular humans exercised.

The controversy is deeper still, there are stories that King Elessar himself used the seeing stones of this 'Sauron' to orchestrate ties with that 'menace' that supposedly lived in Mordor. Perhaps Mordor itself was nothing but a relic of 'Numenor' intent on harrassing honest, God-fearing Gondorians who respected democracy like regular, everyday folk.

Can't you people see what the truth is, or do I have to get off my duff and show you in graphic detail? We must teach the controversy! No War of the Ring, as there was never a One Ring, and stories of hairy-footed dwarfs are in any rate a slander against the noble people of the North.

The War of the Ring was an inside job, my friends, and only those who refuse to accept the obvious truth cannot see this, all others are part of The ConspiracyTM to prop up Gondorian Imperialism against poor, third-world areas like the Far Harad and the Easterlings.

Wehey, what an elaborate rebuttal to the rebuttal of the re-rebuttal!

Can we have a re-re-re-buttal?

(Blarrrgh! Too many butts!)

Interesting.

Well the last 20 - 40 or so times I thought there was no way anyone could be serious about something, they turned out to be serious.

People have a tendency to surprise me. :T

Plus, there's more than a hint of racism. Is it Shelob's fault that she has eight legs? I think not.

AND WHY DID TOLKEIN CHANGE THEIR NAMES, HM? I have sources that show that the real names of these so-called "Hobbits" were Billba and Maura Labingi. WHAT IS TOLKEIN TRYING TO HIDE?!?

You gotta go one deeper, man. Who did we "fight" in the so-called War? Sauron. But who's Sauron? He's a Maia! And, the real kicker: who'd they send to defeat Sauron? ANOTHER MAIA!

The truth is that the Powers in the West were scared that Sauron would enlighten us primitive humans and give us secret powers known only to the Undying, maybe even let us finally beat death. They knew all of that, and every time something like that happened - Orome, in particular - it brought them nothing but a world of shit. I mean, they had to cast out the folks Orome brought back to Valinor! And who got stuck with the war-happy exiles? Oh, right, the Latecomers, the Visitors, the Edain. If Sauron taught us, we'd become just as unruly as the Noldor! So they obviously couldn't have that, so they sent one of their own to install a puppet government that would keep us subservient to Valinor, which isn't even a real place! Seriously, they claim to rule from some mystical "Straight Path" (obvious anti-gay propaganda, even after they basically made gays the hero of the Red Book - shows their inherent inconsistency). Valinor is in Harad, which is why we're told it's fully of ungovernable savages - to keep us from exploring and sullying their "Undying Lands" (which really just means they're racist against those with the Gift of Death).

Seriously. It took me multiple attempts. Definately was worth it, but man, what a slog.

I bought "The Children of Hurin", but I'm kind of afraid to start it. Not sure if it's going to be as dry.

They say he's a star now, but I don't buy that. Earendil just went to Harad and got silenced. They needed to cover up how they stole the Silmaril, so they just threw up a spotlight and told us it was a great human hero who saved us all. Yeah, right.

Really, the Noldor were just pissed when they came back and saw Men occupying Middle-Earth. When they discovered they couldn't defeat us, they tried to prod our glorious benefactor Melkor the Magnificent into doing it. It's really sad when you think of a guy like Beor, who even gave up his name to take on a Sindarin word meaning "servant," just so he could worship at the feet of his oppressors.

And that's why worship of the one true religion -- the Endless Dark -- is so vigorously suppressed.

Oh get off it. Fucking christ this is childish now. Maybe the real people responsible for 3,000 deaths is a joke to you but its not for the people who still have questions or suspicions or even gasp alternative theories, however unjustified you may, in your high-minded arrogance, think they are.

Or perhaps its just that many of us see conspiracy theories turning things into jokes by way of convolution. For whatever holes there are in reality (not ones which have been explained as not being holes in the first place, I should know, I've often found myself filling those holes only to find the same ones being brought up to be filled again year after year), the few that remain have yet to have a better, more consistent narrative spelled out by said theorists, not just in explaining a bit here and a bit there, but linking it all together into one coherent explanation from beginning to end.

For me, the moment truthers earned derision was the one when they decided it was okay to include victim's families as being 'in' on the conspiracy. Otherwise, I would likely have just let them go their way like I do moon-landing conspiracy theorists.

Well I agree heartily but remember not all "truthers" have asserted that ridiculous
claim and a few of the families themselves are on record questioning
the official story. Its a mixed bag.

I've got no beef in the questioning of official stories, provided the ones doing the questioning are able to arrive at a more internally consistent, more plausible, and more thorough explanation for the same events.

This is not what I'm presented with when viewing truther websites.

DAILY QUOTE:
"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
