Um, if people are sincerely making that Robert E. Lee-style 'Slavery was really a good thing for black people, honest to goodness', well all this descendant of Confederate soldiers can tell them is to go fuck themselves. Slavery was an utter, unmitigated moral abomination and anyone, and I do mean *anyone* who says it was a good thing in the 21st Century has no idea what they are talking about and should be utterly ashamed of themselves for thinking it.
That's what I think, what do you think? I almost dread how people are going to claim that saying slavery was a blessing in disguise for blacks is somehow not a racist statement and that merely invoking the dreaded word 'racist' is more offensive than the sentiment thus labeled.

Actually had the gall to say that slavery was beneficial to blacks because it brought them to Christ. Well gee thanks God.

But alas, the bias is still that the white part of the world was greater then the brown part and slavery was for the black's own good.

of history both of this country, and often their own political party?
I agree with you completely - he should be ashamed for saying crap like that

"If they're White, you know they're ALL RIGHT!
If they're Brown, CHAIN 'EM DOWN!"
