Welcome to Prison America, an ongoing series.

While many have criticized our general foreign policy habits concerning the "Third World", I would like to concentrate on our own Third World. For yes, indeed, The United States of America does have a Third World. This world is run by brutes and tyrants, thugs, racists, fascists and oil barons. No, no I am not describing Saudi Arabia, I am describing Mississippi. I hate to bring such discordant disharmony to our peaceful and tranquil nation, but I can no more stay silent about this than I could about Libya.

If we do not declare war on Mississippi, we are moral hypocrites and cowards to boot.

Macing children... that's a bombing. Of course, this time, it really would be a War of Northern Aggression.

The former Supreme Court Justice of Mississippi, Oliver Diaz, was the victim of an invasion of out of state spending campaign style. It's done in the context of TORT reform, but obviously his removal had other impact on the state too, like what you've posted here.

The Sardaukar are fictional. That is a pretty clear indication that it's sarcasm. ;P

Is it "send in the sardaukar" or "release the sardaukar"?

Evidence fiction mirrors reality - the sardaukar were supposed to be the elite of the elite but unfortunately for them they were no match for bearded men living in caves.

The Fremen were actually superior at Dune-universe super-soldier stuff to the Sardaukar. This would be equivalent to the Iraqis driving the USA to California from Kuwait in 1991. And in any event the original point was intended to be humorous, not serious. So....

What I said was intended to be humorous moreso than serious also. d :

I wonder what the death penalty for a state would be like?

You know, "you guys are too fucked up to have anyone in D.C. You now get split up between Tennessee, Alabama and Louisiana."

Like the NCAA there should be a death penalty for being an overtly racist state in the Union. You know, intelligence qualifications.

What's the point in declaring war against places many americans couldn't find on a map?

New law to end all wars - 50% of the nation's population must be able to find the place we're going to war against on a globe.

We could always ask Herman Cain to find Ubeki-beki-beki-stan-stan on the map.

"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
