s: Now we are getting into arguments of fact. We must determine how many of the voters being eliminated from the roles are legitimate. while also determining how many fraudulent votes are cast from a given district. if A is less than B clearing the registration rolls is moral and proper.
Except that A (suppressed votes) are NOT consistently less than B (fraudulently cast votes.)
So why is eliminating eligible voters okay with you? And do you really imagine that completely erasing voting records after an election and making everyone re-register is going to REDUCE fraud and voter suppression? As a poll-watcher back in 2004 I can tell you that it was usually the first-time, non-white voters who were most vulnerable to their registration being (ooopsie!) "lost" or held up so that they couldn't actually cast a ballot. Requiring everyone to re-register would make that even more likely.
