Well, I'd hope that conservatives understood that this is how the USA tended to work south of the Mason-Dixon line for the span 1877-1964 but getting them to admit this and the role the GOP played in it tends to be very amusing for me personally. The USA is perfectly familiar with the rule of Hang Thy Neighbor.
