There are biggest protest actions in Russia since 1917.
I checked american newspapers. There are a lot of information about Putin's inauguration, but only few about disorders.
Is it really not interesting for americans, or american media support Putin's way to speak with nation?

p.s. Today Obama has congratulated Putin...

It's not interesting for American news media. There's a difference, isn't there?

Yes that's it...and by extension many Americans therefore aren't aware it is happening. Our media doesn't cover a lot of things though. I would hope that more and more Americans begin to look elsewhere.

Yeah, it would've been weird if he hadn't congratulated him.

"Dude, I've been waiting for your call, and you..."

"Sorry dude, I just don't think you should be president."

"Who, then?"

"I dunno. Someone else, just not you"

"All right then."

To be honest I'm greatly troubled over the way the Russian government has been handling the protests.

Of course, there are a lot of things going on in the world that are troubling, it's hard to take it all in sometimes that no matter what, at some point somewhere something very unhappy is going on. There's nothing you can do about it either.

I mean what am I going to do? It used to be something that was on my mind when I was clinically depressed, and it still comes up from time to time, that there is always injustice in the world. Somewhere someone is starving, or being tortured, raped, killed, you name it. Sorry this is the final edit.

Russians look like us, dress like us, have iPads and digital cameras and smart phones like us. But they talk funny and we can't read their signs. Ergo, it's difficult to have the same emotional impact in a five second attention window as, say, the OWS protests (which funny enough, look the same as these videos to me. Only with more drumming.).

If 10K people showed up, at least 5K of them were there to put clips on YouTube of the other half doing things to provoke the riot police. That's what it looked like to me -- a bunch of vultures descending on circles of billy clubs.

We're interested, it just takes too much 'splaining to make a soundbite.

"The NATO charter clearly says that any attack on a NATO member shall be treated, by all members, as an attack against all. So that means that, if we attack Greenland, we'll be obligated to go to war against ... ourselves! Gee, that's scary. You really don't want to go to war with the United States. They're insane!"
