Quick Mod Note
21/12/11 10:14So basically LiveJournal broke everything overnight and so comment pages might not work for you the way you're used to, up to and including subject lines and icon choices.
Just an FYI - I did unilaterally set the community to enable customized comment pages for the time being so some functionality will return to some people, but until someone comes up with a style sheet or something to fix this, or LJ actually listens to its userbase for once in its Russian existence, things might be a little broken. Just don't blame us.
As you were!

Date: 21/12/11 15:28 (UTC)Apart from that, there were some pretty handy new options, like mass action on comments - for example one could click "Select all comments", then press "Expand", and this way they wouldn't need to click on every single sub-thread in order to expand it. It's very convenient.
The fonts are crap, I agree.
However, now that you've set the comm to "enable customized comment pages", I'm unable to find the "Edit post", "Edit tags", etc buttons. Now when I think of it, the settings you've put are removing most functional tools. How can I fix that?

This could be a real pain.

Date: 21/12/11 16:09 (UTC)^ I think this is brilliant, and long overdue.
^ I'm totally loving this. It makes things so easy my baby son can use LJ now.
But they shouldn't have removed the subject lines. I don't know why did that. It sucks. Chyort! (Rus.) ("damn"!)

Date: 21/12/11 21:27 (UTC)But that's not true. We can still open a new tab by clicking on the "Expand" tag next to each comment, and we'll be easily right in the middle of said exchange. This is actually a fixed bug that existed before. Until today, when you tried to open a new tab by clicking on the "Expand" tag next to a comment, it wouldn't open a tag, but instead it would still perform the Expand command, which obviously isn't the purpose of opening a new tab. Now we can open multiple tabs displaying whatever parts of threads and subthreads we like, by simply clicking on the "Expand" tag next to the chosen comment. The only thing lacking is subjects of comments, which admittedly is a loss.
And opening new tabs is easy - either Ctrl + left-button click, or just click with the scroll button of your mouse.
