In my utopia breast augmentation surgery will be outlawed (save for procedures done for illness reasons) on two grounds:

1) It's a waste of valuable resources*
2) They look bad

Discuss.


*In my dream utopia, healthcare is not only "free" (well, Universal) it's also mandatory

I feel sorry for people who have such an attachment to changing their physical appearance that they would go so far as to have a breast enhancement operation. Is there any health care provision in your youtopia for treating a mental disorder such as vanity?

In the case of Menachem Begin, the "plastic operation" was necessary to fool people into thinking that he had changed his appearance and to give the British a rationale for not finding him.

mental health is treated through therapy

if a woman has a complex because of her breasts via her appearance, have her talk it out, not fix it with surgery

Some physicians treat mental disorders with drug addiction. Such "treatment" would stop her from obsessing over her own looks and start obsessing over her pill bottle.
