And why did he even attend the vigil?
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis booed at vigil as hundreds mourn more racist killings
He did, I believe, make a statement of condemnation of the killer's action. But he should have known better than to attend the vigil, given his policies on certain sensitive issues.
On the other hand, why not. He's an ignorant, backward dick who deserves all the ridicule he invites. I pity anyone who considers DeSantis presidential material, just as much as I do where Trump and his MAGA cultists are concerned. They're both an incompetent embarrassment to America and the world.
The thing is the Republicans painted him as the next savior of the GOP. Meanwhile in Florida where people know DeSantis better, this is what's happening. Only Republicans support DeSantis, the rest of the state is starting to despise him using the state government as his personal weapon.
