Islam Critic Ayaan Hirsi Ali Warns of French Civil War

A Somali-born critic of Islam said France may fall into a civil war if it cannot sort out issues like dealing with Radical Islam. Ayaan Hirsi Ali told Politico she believes France's new President Emmanuel Macron needs to seize control of crucial issues or risk losing his country.

She might have a point. Islam is not merely a religion. It's also a political ideology professing political supremacy of Muslim leadership and eliminating or subjugating all other religions plus non-believers. It's also a legal system (Sharia). It's also a military doctrine (e.g. how to wage a foreign policy of war and relentless political enmity until the non-Muslim world is destroyed, whereby terrorism is considered a legit tactic as long as the unbelievers are in an asymmetric position of power like today).

That said, the question now is: can Islam undergo a religious reform to become more peaceful and tolerant? The most plausible answer is "No", because according to the Quran, the holy book is the revelation from God word by word. As such, any amendment to the writings or interpretation outside their literal meaning is blasphemous. That is why liberal Muslims have great difficulties establishing a counter-narrative to the aggressive Islamic supremacism and discriminatory practices, and they often end up marginalized by their conservative Muslim communities (please note, conservative not extremist as the media would like to put it), or even become a target of harassment and killings.

Thus, the only peaceful solution would be for the younger generations of Muslims to understand that political Islam brings only more violence, inequality, injustice and suffering to both Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Alas, the current trend is moving in the opposite direction with Muslim communities from Europe to Africa, Middle East and South-East Asia becoming more conservative day by day.

Political Islam's atrocities are nothing new. They were standard practice during the Arab and later Turkish rule over South-Eastern Europe, Middle East, Indian subcontinent, North Africa and Spain in the Medieval times. This systematic violence is a return to the roots of Islamic political practice. Until the West does not understand these developments as they truly are and continues to replace them with wishful thinking, delusional political correctness and invented narratives of deranged or socially marginalised terrorists, the situation will only get worse. Until it finally explodes.
