Being tall got in the way of my dreams... when I was 5. I wanted to be a jockey. Now I'm 25 and 5'9" - obviously that's not going to happen. So? Has my life really been severely impacted to the point that I wish my parents had chosen a different height for me? I'm also taller than my fiance and have been as tall as or taller than past boyfriends. Awkward, for a teenage girl, but again - something my parents should have selected against? Uh, no. I hated on petite girls for a while (okay, sometimes I still do, as I buy my size 10 shoes and look for pants long enough to be fashionable), but there are benefits to being tall, too. I have legs for miles and I can reach all my kitchen cabinets.

This is such a silly thing, in the long run, to select for/against.
