One of them tried to open the door by jumping and grabbing the knob. The other scratched at the carpet. After realizing it was futile, they gave up. That's really all there was to it.

Yeah, my cats are stubborn bitches. One of them is fond of punching me in the face when she doesn't get her way. I don't think that's going to work.
