Not meaning to sound rude, but a British is the last source of wisdom I'd ever choose for taking lessons in nation building. The diastrous map drawing skills of Britons (which is a suprise, given their geographical credentials overall) is one of the main factors, if not THE factor that has ensnared vast swaths of the Middle East into never-ending quagmires. So, no thank you, but I think I'll pass on that one.
