For some Democrats, possibly. But I think many of them support unions because they genuinely believe that the right to collectively bargain is what built and strengthened the American middle class -- just as many Republicans support the aims of massive corporations because they genuinely believe that the wealthy are inherently superior to the non-wealthy, and therefore should be running things.
