Frankly, given that my comments on a historical matter directly relevant to the topic at hand attracted this kind of comment, I neither accept this apology nor particularly am inclined to bother with forgiveness. It's not something to forgive someone for that my writing and rhetorical style irritates someone. It is, however, irritating that EVERY DAMNED TIME I write something you show up with a comment like that. So FWIW, I get it already, and I am not going to not address an actual point when I see it.
