Just on a slightly side note, I just came back from Moscow and I can tell you those guys have consistently been breaking their temperature records with every next year. Now they had +12 C in November, something completely unfamiliar for Middle Russia. Normally they're supposed to be ice-skating on the ice rinks across town, but instead I saw people with t-shirts on the street, and I watched people actually sunbathe and swim in the Black Sea at Sochi and Rostov-na-Don. In the middle of November. The Volga river which used to be easily navigable at Kazan until very recently is now having ships stuck in the middle, and people able to walk from one side to the other on particular places. Moscow also had severe fires due to the unprecedented extreme heat wave this summer. As for my country back here, we haven't had a whole 2-week period of real snowfall for the last 3-4 winters (actually in 2007 we even had the whole January and February with +20 C which was something unthinkable before), and most of our major dams remained half empty this last summer, with temperatures getting well over +40 C for large periods in August, even at the seaside. Old people are saying they've never seen or heard of anything like this.

But of course all this is just some worthless anecdata. Of course it's now kinda cold outside (because it's night time) so this must be proof that global warming is a hoax; and besides it's dark outside at the moment, which must mean that the Sun has gone off and we're heading into a dark age... or something like that.
