You mean the Communist analogue to the Irvingites who said that Hitler never killed any Jews? Yeah, right. I think that taking men like Stalin and Mao at their own word is wisest and those people were very honest that their idea of revolution involved Terror. And Terror meant people dying. If that bothers you, what would happen if I took the argument people use to downgrade the deaths Stalinism brought (and I'm not talking Stalin's responsibility for say, the Battle of Kiev here) and applied it to Nazism? I'd be rightfully called a genocide-denier.
