1. You have no evidence that the group was rooting around and looting the classroom. There is evidence that a person was doing that, that's all.

2. I would try to explain to you why thinking people only act in groups is contrary to reality, but I doubt it would get through. There's no reason to assume that everyone showed up or left together.
