If it had just been that they had a meeting in the room, and then these things had happen, the evidence would be pretty flimsy (though still no evidence towards someone else doing it as a sham) but the fact that they've apologized for it and have the material make it seem plausible that its the way it happened- again, until more evidence comes to light.
What people shouldn't be arguing about is whether it happened, what people should be nitpicking is the implication that this impacts the overall republican platform.
