So he wants a free society that gives him all the economic opportunities we have -- but noone should pay for it??

I can understand people worrying about **too many** taxes if the amounts are crushing -- but to question the premise itself while ignoring that the country wouldn't be the same in benefits or opportunities seems more like wishful thinking.


The people who are fueled over seem to have this idea that there is no difference between the Federal Government and a small business -- and they try to apply 'folk wisdom' to economic policy; Which is inappropriate for a myriad of reasons.


So we can be sympathetic to Libertarian ideals, but have to also realize those ideals do not exist in a vacuum and that income tax is necessary if we're going to maintain the freedoms and protections that we enjoy.
