Its just as valid to write Al-Kayda as it is to write Al-Qiada.
Your second spelling is correct, but not even the USCFR spells it the first way.
Sure, there are established conventions, however there is no strict correct spelling, persay, because arabic uses a different alphabet.
Its phonetic.
